The Legends of Tara Irish music group take their inspiration and name from Ireland’s most historic ancient monument,The Hill of Tara.

Tara (known in Gaelic as Teamhair na Rig or Tara of the Kings) is located between the Towns of Navan and Dunshaughlin in County Meath, an hour’s drive northwest of Dublin city. The remains of 25 ancient monuments are visible on the hill and twice as many again have been discovered using geophysical, prospection and aerial photography.

The Legends of Tara are a unique Irish folk group of the most talented and experienced professional musicians you might hear in the whole of Ireland. They have come together to produce and share their unique songs and traditional Irish folk music with the audiences of the New Arlington in Temple Bar.

The Legends of Tara draw inspiration from the unique Hill of Tara – this is evident in the amazing spiritual soul felt when listening to their rendition of favorite Irish folk songs and in the playing of their amazing Irish folk dance tunes.
